HOW TO REACH IT

To reach the lake, for those who are not intimidated by a steep climb, you can take an excursion. Starting from Corna, a hamlet of Darfo, you can go up the path until you reach Capo di Lago, from where you can then do the complete circuit on foot.

The alternative is to go up past the village of Angolo Terme taking the road for the hamlet of Anfurro: you will find a detour that leads to the lake, after which you will find a large open space to park and start your walk from there.

If, on the other hand, you prefer to reach the area comfortably, it is recommended to use the car starting from Corna and going up the path, then parking at the small church on the edge of the lake, or in the case of occupied spaces, the space along the slope is used. Cars are sometimes banned in high season but It is also possible to take advantage of the shuttle bus service of the Municipality of Darfo, although available only during the summer period.
For more information on the shuttle service see this guide in Italian.

As soon as you arrive, the landscape that appears is nothing short of breathtaking.

It is the ideal place for picnics, thanks to the presence of a large equipped green area: with a rock directly overlooking the lake, some benches, a spacious lawn, there are many people who, especially in the summer months, spend their time relaxing in the sun or cooling off in the water.

WALKING PATH AROUND THE LAKE

The “tour of the lake” is an excellent opportunity to do some light physical activity immersed in nature. Alone or in company, between slightly more demanding climbs and flatter stretches, you pass through the rich vegetation that characterizes the place and makes it colorful and full of life.

The path alternates between dirt and asphalt sections and, following it on one side or the other, you will reach the highest point of the route, where you can enjoy the breathtaking view, with an overview of the lake and the mountains of the valley below.

Along the way there are also a couple of refreshment points, including a farmhouse, where you can taste many typical Brescian dishes. At the end of the walk there is the possibility to rest in the picnic area of the lake, and for those who have forgotten a snack there is the possibility to buy one at the nearby bar.
